Phil’s localization career started in 1993 and he joined Vistatec in 1997. Phil directs Research, Development and Process Innovation activities within the company. His technical expertise covers software development, commercial enterprise workflow and content management systems, machine translation and collaboration portals.
Phil presents at many conferences and participates in several industry standards committees (W3C, Multilingual Web-LT) and academic research bodies such as the CNGL.
In addition to carrying out the duties of CTO at Vistatec, Phil Ritchie is the lead architect of the open source Ocelot XLIFF Editor and is a founding Industrial Partner of the ADAPT Research Center where he serves as Chairman of the organizations Industrial Advisory Board.
